Open Standards for Legal Practice

Building the infrastructure for a more accessible legal system

The Neon Law Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit developing open standards, education resources, and tools that help legal professionals deliver consistent, competent, and affordable legal services.

Harness: A Legal Workflow Standard

Harness is our open standard for encoding legal workflows as deterministic, auditable processes. Templates define the work. Notations track each client engagement. State machines ensure every step is completed in the right order.

Any law firm, legal aid organization, or solo practitioner can adopt Harness — it's free, open source, and designed to work with existing legal practice management tools.
