For legal aid centers
Send us the matters you cannot staff.
You already know which cases are winnable. The constraint is hours, not merit. We exist to add the hours back.
We match your overflow to volunteer attorneys, give the matter a free case management workspace, and send you the complete record when it closes.
The partnership
What a center gets
Capacity you do not have to hire for
We take matters off your waitlist and place them with volunteer attorneys. You keep the client relationship and the referral stays yours.
Intake that arrives usable
Matters go to attorneys already summarized, issue-spotted, and scoped, so a volunteer can say yes on the first read instead of the third.
Visibility without chasing
Your staff can see where a placed matter stands at any time. No status emails, no wondering whether the volunteer went quiet.
Training for your team
Your intake staff and staff attorneys attend our CLEs and workshops at no charge, whether or not you ever send us a matter.
No software to buy
The case management workspace is free to you and free to the volunteer. There is no seat count and no upsell.
A record you can keep
When a matter closes you get the complete file, in a form you can put into your own system and report on.
Getting started
How a partnership begins
Tell us what you are turning away
We start with a conversation about the matters that fall off your waitlist and why. That tells us which practice areas and which volunteers we need.
We agree on scope and on the guardrails
Confidentiality, conflicts, supervision, and what happens if a matter needs to come back to you. We put it in writing before a single file moves.
Your staff trains with us
A working session on intake and triage, so the matters you send arrive in a shape a volunteer can pick up quickly.
You send matters; we place them
We match on practice area, jurisdiction, and scope, and we tell you who took it. Anything we cannot place comes back to you promptly rather than sitting with us.
The line we do not cross
You keep the professional judgment. We keep the logistics.
The Foundation is not a law firm. We do not represent clients, we do not supervise the practice of law, and we do not sit between a client and their attorney. Representation runs from the volunteer attorney, or from your center, to the client.
Every AI-generated work product is reviewed by a licensed attorney before anyone relies on it. Confidentiality obligations and conflict checks are settled before a matter is placed, not after.
